Special Events/Conversations with guests

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Charlie Chaplin’s Tramp character, the Festival del film Locarno will pay tribute to Chaplin with a screening of Modern Times at 16:00 at the Auditorium FEVI, with live musical accompaniment by the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, conducted by Philippe Béran.

Parallel Events

LO SCATTO DEL PARDO - CONCORSO FOTOGRAFICO

The association Animazione Centro Pax Muralto, in collaboration with Foto Garbani Muralto, Riazzino, Lugano), with the support of Festival del film Locarno, is organizing, from 6 to 14 August, the Photo Contest Lo Scatto del Pardo whose subject is the 67th Festival edition. The photo contest is for accredited photographers only. A jury composed by a non-accredited photographer, a Foto Garbani representative and a Festival del film Locarno representative, will award rich prizes such as Nikon and Canon products. The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 14 August at 16:00 at the Centro Pax Muralto (Via della Stazione 9), where the public will be able to admire all the pictures in contest.
