Details have been announced about the commemorative special stamp to celebrate the Festival del film di Locarno's 70th anniversary, which the Post Office will present as a preview on March 31, 2017.

At the traditional Extraordinary Assembly, held at the end of the Festival, an official minute was made, giving details about the announcement made during the closing ceremony on August 13. The commemorative special stamp, which celebrates the Festival del film di Locarno's 70th anniversary, will be previewed on March 31, 2017 in “Focus on Stamps”, the Swiss Post’s stamp magazine. The special stamp's design layout will be produced by the graphic and design studio Jannuzzi Smith and the Swiss Post. The stamp will be available from March 31, 2017 via postshop.ch and will be issued on May 11, 2017.
