Awards and Juries IFFR 2015
Each year, International Film Festival Rotterdam celebrates a number of outstanding films with a variety of awards. Many of these prizes are awarded by (international) juries, and several of them are conferred upon the winners by IFFR audiences.
In the prestigious Tiger Awards Competition it's not about the well-known names who competing, but about the upcoming talent who thereby get a chance to shine on the world stage. International Film Festival Rotterdam introduces a new competition during the festival of 2013. Aimed to support the distribution of films in Dutch cinemas, The Big Screen Award Competition... The Dioraphte Award goes to the Hubert Bals Fund supported film receiving the highest votes from the festival audience. The MovieZone Award is chosen from the feature film section by the young people's MovieZone jury from the Nederlands Instituut voor Filmeducatie. The winner of the MovieZone Award is... A jury selected by the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) chooses the best Asian feature of the festival. The ARTE International Prize (€ 5.000) is given to the producer of the best CineMart project in support of the financial development of the winning project.
