International Film Festival Summit Announces the Certified Film Festival Professional Program

The International Film Festival Summit (IFFS) announces the Certified Film Festival Professional (CFFP) Program, a two-day course that provides a comprehensive training curriculum for film festival professionals, will take place this December 4-5, 2009 in Las Vegas.

The CFFP Program is a two-day course that provides a comprehensive training curriculum covering the most important elements involved in film festival work.  The course content for each section is developed by a top professional in that field and will be taught using lecture and small group session formats.

The course is designed for film festival professionals looking for a more in-depth understanding of all facets of the film festival industry. It is also ideal for those interested in acquiring more knowledge about film festival work, particularly those who aspire to a career as a film festival founder, director, or staff member.

"We're thrilled to be working with some of the most accomplished festival professionals from across North America who will serve as faculty for the CFFP," said Waco Hoover, Co-Founder & President of the International Film Festival Summit. "The CFFP is the only course of its kind providing a comprehensive training program for professionals working in film festival industry. The program will provide unparalleled training that will serve professionals for the duration of their careers."

Enrolled festival professionals will explore principal topics in-depth including: film festival operations & management; marketing & PR; funding & sponsorship; programming; acquisition & distribution; digital technology solutions; executive management; and long term planning. Operational overviews from film festivals, case studies, and other information will be used to supplement the course materials.

Faculty consists of some of the most esteemed and accomplished professionals from the industry. Each faculty member has a minimum of fifteen years of full time festival experience in their core area of management. Enrollment is limited to 30 seats providing an interactive and engaging learning environment for program participants.

The CFFP Program will be offered immediately preceding the 2009 International Film Festival Summit in Las Vegas that will take place December 6-8, 2009. To learn more about the course and reserve your seat, please contact Wyatt Royce at (561) 337-9221 or info@filmfestivalsummit.com.
