Shriekfest Film Festival announces 2017 Schedule: 48 FILMS * 4 DAYS/NIGHTS OCTOBER 5-8TH, 2017

SHRIEKFEST INTERNATIONAL HORROR/SCI FI FILM FESTIVAL is thrilled to announce the full, expanded schedule for its SEVENTEENTH annual horror film festival, returning to Raleigh Studios Chaplin Theatre, October 5-8th, 2017.  Festival Director Denise Gossett says  "We are so honored to once again to be at the same location we've been at for all 17 years!  And, we are also proud to announce the first annual Shriekfest Orlando on October 21st!"

Festival goers will once again enjoy the finest in independent cinema from around the globe, selected from submissions that came in everywhere from the United Kingdom to New York; from Texas to France. From our opening night screening of the CALIFORNIA PREMIERE of THE GLASS COFFIN, to the shorts from Australia and the United Kingdom, and finally to the WORLD PREMIERE of CANNIBALS & CARPET FITTERS, the U.S PREMIERE of FRACTURED,  & THE WEST COAST PREMIERE of HOSTILE. The 17th Annual Shriekfest Horror/SciFi Film Festival has worked hard to present a festival as diverse as the fans of the Los Angeles city itself.

American independent films are also well represented this year, on Friday, October 6th – MERCY CHRISTMAS, as well as THE SHIFT.   We can't leave out THE BASEMENT (Mischa Barton), THE EVIL WITHIN (Sean Patrick Falanery & Michael Berryman), CURVATURE (Linda Hamilton, Glenn Morshower) and GNAW (Sally Kirkland).

.

Not to mention our fabulous selection of short films. Movies like TETHERED, CLASSIFIED, HIDDEN DAYLIGHT, MEGRIM, BLOOD SISTERS, WITHHELD, SECRETIONS, and the clever GHOSTED challenge the viewers with provocative, well crafted original stories.

Once again SHRIEKFEST Film Festival exceeds at challenging the idea of what a horror film festival should screen, with eclectic selections (THE THINGS THEY LEFT BEHIND), to science fiction (STILL HERE), comedy (HUMBUG), and even the disturbing (BURN).

Entrance to SHRIEKFEST Film Festival 2017 is $10.00 per block, an All-Fest Pass, good for all four days of the festival, is now available on our website, for just $120.00, this pass includes the opening night party and guaranteed entrance to all films/Q&A's.

All films are un-rated, and unless specifically noted no one under 17 will be admitted without a parent or guardian's accompaniment or permission.
