Stars Come Out At FLIFF Red Carpet Event

Anne Jackson and Eli Wallach

 Brandon RouthRichard Chamberlain

Thursday, November 6---------The stars were not only in the sky but on the red carpet at a special Gala Event at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival this evening.  Over 15 celebrity actors and directors made the scene at Bova Prime, one of Fort Lauderdale's most chic restaurants as celebrations continued on the final weekend of the 23rd edition of the Festival.

Among those making the red carpet walk were Lifetime Achievement honorees Eli Wallach and Anne Jackson (jockeying between the event and a screening of Wallach's film debut BABY DOLL at the Cinema Paradiso); the stars of the romantic comedy FLING, including Brandon Routh (the hearthrob of SUPERMAN RETURNS), Courtney Ford, Steve Sandvoss, Nick Wechsler, Ellen Hoffman, the film's director John Stewart Muller and producer Laura Boesman; Paul Campbell and Marc Fienberg from the FLIFF Centerpiece film PLAY THE GAME; the stars of tomorrow night's World Premiere gala screening of I DO & I DON'T, including Jane Lynch, Matt Servitto, Alexie Gilmore, Bryan Callan and writer/director Steve Blair and producer Whit Hauprich; and Lifetime Achievement honoree Richard Chamberlain and his STRENGTH AND HONOUR director Mark Mahon.

Celebrities and celebrity watchers lined the streets of downtown Fort Lauderdale as the town's political, social and cultural glitterati rubbed shoulders with the celebrity visitors, as the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival held another starry night under the cloudless Florida skies.
