Zurich Film Festival has hired Rogers & Cowan

The Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) announced today that it has hired Rogers & Cowan, the world’s leading entertainment public relations and marketing agency, to develop and execute a comprehensive international publicity and marketing campaign to support this year’s Festival (September 25 – October 5). The announcement was made today by ZFF Founder and Managing Director Karl Spoerri and Rogers & Cowan CEO, Tom Tardio.

Rogers & Cowan is tasked with implementing an extensive, multi-tiered campaign designed to broaden international awareness and elevate the Festival’s profile in Hollywood and throughout the global film community. Working closely with Spoerri and the Festival’s senior staff in the months leading up the festival, Rogers & Cowan will provide strategic consultation in all areas of global brand building to promote ZFF as one of the true homes of innovative and exciting cinema from new filmmakers from around the world.

The campaign will be sculpted around the Festival’s diverse line-up, marquee talent, interesting retrospectives and spotlights, and its refined international focus.

Rogers & Cowan Executive Vice President, Nikki Parker, will lead the account for the agency, with Account Director Dennis Dembia handling day to day management of the campaign.

“We are pleased to have found Rogers & Cowan as a professional entertainment public relations and marketing partner to support the promotion of this year’s Zurich Film Festival outside Europe”, said ZFF founder and festival director Karl Spoerri.

Tardio commented, “Rogers & Cowan is proud to represent the Zurich Film Festival and excited to launch a signature PR campaign to expand the Festival brand beyond its roots in central Europe. In just its fourth year, the Zurich Film Festival has made an impressive name for itself as a top destination on the Festival circuit. Our plan is to build on this foundation and open even more eyes to this wonderful industry and cultural event.”

ZFF 2008 begins Thursday, September 25th and runs through Sunday, October 5th. Additional announcements pertaining to the Festival will be made in the coming months.
