Martin Scorsese Masterclass in Cannes

Wine culture at TIFF

Toronto-based wine experts, radio personalities and nationally syndicated newspaper columnists The Wine Ladies are entering the exciting world of web TV with their unique interview series, Talking Wine With The Stars being taped at The Windsor Arms Hotel during this year's Toronto Int'l Film Festival (Sept. 10-19) - see attached media release for full details.

Sponsored by Jackson-Triggs/Vincor, Talking Wine with the Stars, takes a different look at the cult of celebrity by interviewing stars, directors, writers and international film critics and reporters, asking about their own favourite wines, favourite movies about wine (eg: Bottle Shock, Sideways, A Walk in the Clouds, Big Night, Under the Tuscan Sun, etc) and whether a good Merlot or Chardonnay should be enjoyed while watching your favourite heist flicks, comedies or Bertolucci classics.

The Toronto-based ultra-glamorous sisters Georgia and Susanne, known as The Wine Ladies, bring their fun and informative approach to wine to this new entertaining and engaging media property. It's not just about wine - it's about lifestyle mixed with the appropriate blend of wine information, human interest and humour. Georgia & Susanne's radio show, heard every Saturday morning 10am-11am on CP24 Radio 1050 and simulcast on http://www.cp24.com/ is also uploaded to The Wine Ladies' own website (http://www.thewineladies.com/). In addition to their radio show, The Wine Ladies' newspaper column is nationally syndicated across Canada and are regular contributors and food and wine editors for various lifestyle magazines, as well as guests on national TV networks and local magazine shows.

Daily highlights of Talking Wine with the Stars will be uploaded to YouTube each night of TIFF with the full episodes available in the fall on

http://www.thewineladies.com/ and http://www.independencefilms.ca/  Check out the daily blogs on http://www.thewineladies.com/ to find out who dropped in to talk wine with The Wine Ladies during TIFF.
