Tucson Film & Music Festival Announces Line Up

The Tucson Film & Music Festival (TFMF) is excited to unveil the complete film line-up for the sixth annual event running with expanded dates from Oct. 7-11, 2010. All-access badges are now available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/129793 and the full film listing is online at www.tucsonfilmandmusicfestival.com.

The festival opens with the Arizona Premiere of the critically acclaimed concert film Ride, Rise, Roar, featuring ex-Talking Heads frontman David Byrne on tour promoting his first musical collaboration with Brian Eno in almost 30 years. Spellbinding onstage performances mix with behind the scenes details of the creative collaborations for the show, providing an intimate look at one of today's most influential musical artists.

Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone, the fascinating and celebratory documentary about the legendary funk group, is the Centerpiece film for TFMF and an Arizona Premiere. The feature doc is narrated by Laurence Fishburne and tells the story of California's black punk sons, still funking on the one.

The closing night film is the Tucson Premiere of the animated feature Mars. The sci-fi romantic comedy is about the first manned mission to Mars and has an incredible soundtrack written by Howe Gelb, who also stars. The soundtrack includes performances by Giant Sand, Neko Case, Victoria Williams, Jason Lytle, Kristen Hersh, John Convertino, Bill Elm and more.
