TLAgay.com to Honor the Best of Gay Entertainment in New Annual Awards Program

TLAgay.com (http://www.tlagay.com/), one of the largest online and direct mail DVD and VOD entertainment retailers in the country, announced today the launch of the 2010 Gaybie Awards. The Gaybies will honor the very best in gay and lesbian movies, television, literature, online journalism and film festivals from 2009. Categories include Best Openly Gay Actor in a Film or TV Series, Best Television Series featuring a Gay Character, Best Gay Character in a Mainstream Movie and many more.

Nominations were determined by the TLAgay.com staff. Winners will be selected by polling on the website. During the month of March, customers, fans and the industry can vote for their favorites in the various categories. Winners will be announced April 15th. Nominees will be notified of their nominations via email and will be provided a special, 2010 Nomination badge to help promote the awards to their fans to encourage voting.
