The world is blogging from Sundance, Santa Barbara...

Blog and Podcast from Sundance to Santa Barbara

The 10 day indie extravaganza from Sundance Park City wrapped last Sunday and marked the launch of filmfestival.com new blogging approach.

Filmfestivals is preparing a major shift in the web technology of your favourite film festival site. Our new blog platform currently under beta test will allow thousands of indie filmmakers to interact with festival organisers, media sales agents and film fans at large.
Early 2006 some 40 000 film pros are receiving our weekly newsletter, hundreds of thousands are logging to our website every month, just eager to get the fresh news from the festival circuit.
Our blogs, your blogs, their blogs -all hosted on our platform- will unite these audiences and transform visitors in actors, contributors, partners, advisors, buyers and sellers of the next generation of film.

All part of a Festival United Blog Network.
Be part of that and follow us on our first blog venues: Sundance and Santa Barbara.
Beware they are far from bearing all functionalities which we will unveil late March.
Meanwhile follow us at Sundance and Santa Barbara Blogs.

Proving that they are comfortable leading the pack, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced today they will be the first domestic film festival to offer video podcasts of their annual event.
Each year we strive to raise the bar for our Festival. We show incredible films and host some of the most talented people in the entertainment industry. Now, through these podcasts, I’m proud that we can reach an even wider audience” Festival Director Roger Durling said.

As just announced, the SBIFF is proud to present a stellar lineup of thought-provoking panels, including directors, producers, screenwriters, composers, women in the business and a nature panel. Each of the panels will include many of the year’s most talked about talent, including directors Bennett Miller (Capote) and Paul Haggis (Crash); screenwriters Grant Heslov (Good Night, And Good Luck), and Larry McMurtry (Brokeback Mountain); producers Cathy Konrad (Walk the Line) and Sarah Greene (The New World), as well as many others. In addition, the Festival’s much talked about “Conversation With” series will be podcast. Participants in the series include actors Maria Bello and Felicity Huffman and director Robert Towne.
“We are committed to establishing the SBIFF as the premier technology
friendly film festival and to providing an archive of the festival to be accessed by iPod and home computer users around the globe.” said a D-PRGRM director, Joseph Matheny.

SBIFF podcasts are available for download at pod.sbfilmfestival.org, pod.sbiff.org or www.odeo.com. Also making the SBIFF podcasts available will be iTunes, at www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts.
