The spectacular screenings at San Sebastian velodrome

Samuel L. Jackson and Renny Harlin present the thriller ‘Cleaner’
The spectacular images of Artic Tale, an epic adventure in the North Pole, will also be the stars of the giant screen

Actor Samuel L. Jackson and director Renny Harlin will present the thriller Cleaner, directed by Renny Harlin, in the Antonio Elorza Velodrome at the 55th San Sebastian Film Festival from 20th-29th September.
The giant 400 m² screen in a theatre specially prepared to hold 3,000 viewers for the event, will house the world premier of Renny Harlin’s new film, starring Samuel L. Jackson, Ed Harris, Eva Mendes and Luis Guzman. An intelligent, tense tale of murders, Cleaner completely unveils the psychology of its characters to reveal a conflict of deeply buried loyalties and motivations. A vibrant thriller from Renny Harlin, director of Diehard 2 (1990), Cliffhanger (1993), Cutthroat Island (1995), Deep Blue Sea (1999) and Mindhunters, (2004), among many others.
The Velodrome screenings will also feature the creative documentary Arctic Tale, with its spectacular images of the North Pole, recreating the cycle of life through the epic adventures of a polar bear and a walrus. A creation from National Geographic Films, producer of March of the Penguins and of Paramount Classics, the studio responsible for producing An Inconvenient Truth. Arctic Tale will be screened at the Velodrome in a version dubbed into Basque.

CLEANER USA / Director: Renny Harlin
Cast: Samuel L. Jackson, Ed Harris, Eva Mendes, Luis Guzmán, Keke Palmer and Robert Forster
If someone dies in your home, few people know that it's up to you to clean up the mess left behind... so they call Tom Cutler. Tom is a 'Cleaner,' a man who removes every trace of the blood, smell, and stains, but most importantly, Tom considers himself the man who removes the grief, by erasing all the reminders of a tragedy. Slowly. Methodically. Painstakingly. Not a hint remains. In Cleaner, Tom must make a choice. He can either bury his own past, or once and for all, come clean...

ARCTIC TALE USA / Director: Sarah Robertson, Adam Ravetch
In the wild, frozen world of the Artic, a new ancestral cycle starts each year: a cycle of birth, death and renovation, of love and life, of self-sacrifice and extreme risk. Two Titans of the North Pole, the polar bear and the walrus, start the magical journey from their defenceless childhood towards maturity. The mothers defend their offspring with all of the strength endowed upon them by nature. A creation from National Geographic Films, the producers of March of the Penguins and of Paramount Classics, the studio responsible for producing An Inconvenient Truth, an epic adventure exploring the vast world of the North Pole.
