The Secret's World Premiere Openeing Tahoe Reno Fest

The Secret, a full length feature film that's already impacting thousands of lives around the world, will have its first public screening at the Tahoe Reno International Film Festival on August 23rd at 8:00 p.m.

Tapping into the phenomenal momentum of a film that’s already changing lives around the world, the Tahoe-Reno International Film Festival (T-RIFF) today announced its opening night film.

The Secret (www.thesecret.tv) will make its world premiere at T-RIFF on Wednesday, August 23rd. The film is a feature length, historic and factually based account of an age old secret, said to be 4,000 years in the making, and known only to a fortunate few, as told by some of the greatest leaders of our time. The Secret reveals this great knowledge to the world -- the secret to wealth, health, love, happiness, relationships…The Secret to life itself.

“We are thrilled to have The Secret’s world premiere screening for opening night to begin this years festival,” says Katrina Wilson, Executive Director and founder of T-RIFF. “As an organization, we see the opportunity for films to be a force for positive change in the world. And The Secret is completely aligned with our vision and specifically this year’s theme of ‘Celebrating the Human Spirit’.”

Rhonda Byrne, the creator / executive producer of The Secret, and some of the films teachers, including key Secret educators Bob Proctor and Reverend Michael Beckwith, will be on hand to introduce the film on opening night.

The screening will follow a press conference that evening at The Resort at Squaw Creek, the festival’s main location. Although The Secret has not been publicly shown in theaters, it’s wildly successful, viral marketing campaign has exposed hundreds of thousands of people to the film to date.

“The Secret has been a very magical film project every step of the way that continues to change lives and connect all the right people,” says Byrne, the visionary behind The Secret and founder of Australia’s Prime Time Productions. “We have been in search of appropriate public venues and film festivals to expose the film to an even broader audience of cinema lovers. The Tahoe Reno International Film Festival is a wonderful place for us to begin this part of the film’s journey.”

The Tahoe/Reno International Film Festival (T-RIFF) offers a unique film festival experience that educates, touches hearts, inspires ideas, and connects audiences to the joy deep within their souls for film lovers from around the world. This year’s festival will bring many intriguing and provocative topics to light while also drawing attention to such critical subjects as global warming, the truth about the oil crisis and other profound social and human rights issues that touch every nation.

A picturesque backdrop for a film festival, Lake Tahoe is an international treasure, surrounded by a national forest. T-RIFF is headquartered in Incline Village, Nevada, a beautiful evergreen-filled community located on the panoramic North Shore of Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America. For the official T-RIFF event schedules, film times, and pass or ticket purchases, visit www.t-riff.org or call the Tahoe/Reno International Film Festival at 775.298.0018.
