The New York International Latino Film Festival line up

The New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF) has announced its line up of domestic, international, shorts and a variety of other programs. NYILFF’s 12th edition takes place from August 15-21, 2011 at Clearview Cinemas Chelsea 9 at 260 West 23rd Street between 7th & 8th Aves. and AMC Empire 25 Theatres, 234 West 42nd Street, New York City. Hollywood stars invited and expected to attend so far include: Andy Garcia, Edward James Olmos, Jennifer Exposito, Danny Glover, Richard Englund, Tom Sizemore, Tony Plana, Fergus Riordan, Yareli Arizmendi, Celinés Toribio, Joaquim de Almeida, Jesse Garcia, Andres Dominguez, Michael Cardelle, Dominik Garcia-Lorido, Talia Rothenberg and many more.

 The premiere Latino film festival in the nation kicks off with Cinema Under the Stars, a free outdoor screening on Monday, August 15 at St. Nicholas Park/135th St. and launches officially with its Opening Night red carpet event on Tuesday, August 16. NYILFF continues through the week with star-studded red carpet premieres every night culminating with Awards Night on Sunday, August 21. NYLIFF will present over 100 features, documentaries and short films in English and Spanish, which reflect America’s cultural diversity. NYILFF’s Domestic and International Features, Documentaries, and Shorts are in competition.
