The Jackson Hole Film Festival selection announced

The Jackson Hole Film Festival announced its selection of independent films in competition for the June 2006 Film Festival. The selections, which were narrowed down from over 700 film submissions, will fall into the Festival’s 7 competitive categories: Independent Features, Shorts, Documentaries, World Program Spotlight UK, Global Insight, Sports Action and Student Voices. The top films from the US, UK and Australia will compete for the coveted Rosemount Diamond Award and a $10,000 cash prize.

The Mainstage Theatre, Teton Theater and Twin Theater will be home to the more than 70 independent film screenings. The Mainstage Theatre will also serve as the venue for the Awards Ceremony to be held Saturday June 10th.

In addition to showcasing compelling independent films and producing an array of parties, the Festival will host its Festival Forums Series covering topics such as “Music and Film”, “The Future of Distribution”, “The Power of Film”.
