NEW YORK BOOK FESTIVAL – June 27-28, Central Park, New York City – Spotlighting books worthy of attention from the publishing capital of the world in the lush setting of the city’s favorite relaxation spot.  The New York Book Festival Awards are June 27 at one of the world’s literary landmarks, the Algonquin Hotel, with the day festival held the following day. Author readings/signings, vendor opportunities, live music, food, clowns doing face painting and balloon animals, a special children’s tent and much, much more. HOLLYWOOD BOOK FESTIVAL – July 11-12, The Grove at Farmers Market, Hollywood – This year’s festival honoring books that deserve greater attention from the film, TV and multimedia communities will be held at The Grove, Hollywood’s premiere entertainment, dining and shopping destination. Presented in conjunction with Barnes & Noble Booksellers, the festival features author readings/signings, live music, celebrity appearances, book publishing panels, clowns and the ambiance of the Grove’s town square.  Over $10,000 in cash and prizes, including a week-long stay at the Larimar St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
