Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival Awards

The head of the jury was this year Eva Isaksen (Norway).
Other members of the jury included :Yesim Ustaoglu (Turkey), Jaak Allik (Estonia), Thomas Mauch (Germany) and James Ragan (USA).

GRAND PRIX FOR BEST EURASIAN FILM (with cash award of 10.000 EUR)
SHANGHAI DREAMS /QING HONG (Wang Xiaoshuai, China)

JURY PRIZE FOR THE BEST DIRECTOR
HOU SHIAO-SHIEN (Three Times / Zui Hao De Shi Guang, Taiwan / (China))

JURY PRIZE FOR THE BEST ACTOR
JESPER CHRISTENSEN (Manslaughter / Drabet, Denmark)

JURY PRIZE FOR THE BEST ACTRESS
MARIA LUNDQVIST (Mother of Mine / Äideistä parhain, Finland / Sweden)

SPECIAL JURY PRIZE
THE DEATH OF MR. LAZARESCU / MOARTEA DOMNULUI LAZARESCU (Cristi Puiu,
Romania)

For the very first time the international jury chose also the best Estonian film of the year. The prize in the value of 3205 € (in Est. crones 50 000
EEK) was presented by Scottish Leader.
Jury of Scottish Leader Competition of Estonian Films: Leslie Felperin (Great Britain), Sven Grünberg (Estonia) and Sergei Lavrentiev (Russia). The Best Estonian film was PÄRNOGRAPHY (dir: Hardi Volmer) about famous Estonian animator Priit Pärn.
