Stars lining up at Ischia

Ed Limato, the legendary agent of many Hollywood stars (representing the likes of Denzel Washington, Mel Gibson, Richard Gere, Steve Martin, Michael Biehn, Thomas Jane, Derek Luke, Sam Neill, and Adrian Lyne) will receive – on Friday July 18Th – the Ischia Art Legend Award, a special prize for a career rich of artistic achievements.
Former co-chairman of the ICM Talent, and current member of the William Morris’s Board, Ed Limato is one of the ultimate legends of Hollywood who continues to be a reference point in worldwide cinema despite the changes of scenarios in the top management of the big majors.
Elegant, posh and eminent, Ed Limato has always been in love with Italy and the circle of his best friends includes Italian director Franco Zeffirelli and Italian actress Valeria Golino. In Ischia he will have the opportunity to be reunited with a lot of old friends and acquaintances such as directors Bille August, Terry Gilliam, Paul Haggis, Bobby Moresco, Lina Wertmuller, Steven Zaillian. And he will also meet artists such as Vanessa Redgrave, Claire Danes, Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon, Mark Ruffalo, Michele Placido, Raoul Bova, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Enrico Lo Verso, Lina Sastri and many others who will confirm their presence in the next few days.
The 6th Global Film & Music Fest is produced by Pascal Vicedomini and is organized in co-operation with the Azienda Cura, Soggiorno e Turismo “Isole di Ischia e Procida” and l’Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia, with the support of the Cinema Department of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Department of Tourism and Cultural Assets of the Campania Region, in co-operation with Caffé Kimbo, Acqua Minerale Fiuggi and Casinò di Venezia and the participation of Cinecittà Holding, Istituto Luce, The Chamber of Commerce of Naples, Medmar and the Associazione Progres – Produttori associati vino Grechetto di Todi.
The event will be chaired for the second year in a row by director and producer Paul Haggis supported by Marina Cicogna, Franco Nero and Tony Renis, for the music session.
The event will boast several international premieres, a retrospective on the best Italian movies of the past season, music concerts, awarding ceremonies and meetings of the stars and the audience that will take place in the movie theatres of Ischia Porto and Forio as well as in the spectacular ad-hoc arena to be set in the bay of Regina Isabella hotel.
