Slamdunk Film Festival

Seven features and 23 shorts have been selected for the the 4th Slamdunk Film
Festival, kicking off in Park City, UT on Saturday January 20th. The festival
will run for four full days, and will include filmmaker discussions, industry
panels, and special presentations and seminars by Macromedia and Level 13. Founded
in 1998, Slamdunk began as an alternative showcase to the Sundance fest. In the
three years since its inception, Slamdunk has quickly established itself as the
film community's truly independent alternative film festival. Last year's screenings
resulted in a number of Slamdunk features gaining distribution with Lion's Gate,
HBO, Motion International, Phoenecian Films, and Prosperity Pictures.



Festival organizers also confirmed the festival's new home at Club Creation, 268
Main Street, which includes a new 7000 sq. ft screening space, two bars, a Filmmaker's
Lounge, and Park City's only after-hours nightclub. The new venue is conveniently
located next door to both the Egyptian Theatre, and popular filmmaker's party
spot at Cicero's. Festival sponsors include Maromedia, Puma, Subvergent Media
Studios, At Large Design, Lab Wexlr, Atom-Bomb.com, Pierce-Gorman, Eruptor, and
Level 13, a division of Film Roman.
