Slamdance schedule of final party

Slamdance 2004 Closes January 23rd With A Blow-Out "Birthday Party" Celebrating The 10th Annual Film Festival

Party Preceded by Sparky Awards Presentation

The 10th Annual Slamdance Film Festival, which kicks off January 17 in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, will end the 2004 festival with a 10th Birthday Party Celebration following the closing night award ceremony on Friday, January 23rd at 9 PM at the Snow Park Lodge (2250 Deer Valley Drive South) in Deer Valley. The party features celebrity DJ¹s D:Fuse, Money Mark, DJ Me DJ You, and DJ Knucklz. D:Fuse will appear at Slamdance as part of his People:2 Tour. Opening events were previously announced. For details see www.slamdance.com

The Slamdance Birthday Party is 21 and over. Tickets are available at Brewvies in Salt Lake City, Madstone and the Slamdance Box Office at the Treasure Mountain Inn.

DJ Money Mark is also featured in one of the festival¹s competition
documentaries: BRUCE HAACK: KING OF TECHNO . (USA, 69 min., Documentary,
2003) directed by Philip Anagnos. (WORLD PREMIERE) The underground world of homespun musician Bruce Haack comes alive with mind-blowing visuals, wild music and far out stories. For more information about the film see: http://www.haackmovie.com/

There will be a Haack Release party at Shaggys Living Room on Thursday, January 22nd at 155 W 200, in Salt Lake City. The show features talent from the film including performances by Money Mark, DJ Me DJ You and DJ Haack. Cover is $10. Doors open at 9pm.

"Bruce Haack was more into having a ' telepathic following' than money or
fame-- Money Mark & Dj Me Dj You are some of today's artists proving that theory by unselfishly supporting his legacy. And now Slamdance, with their dedication to supporting underdog artists, is the untimate stage to showcase Bruce's following,"
says director Philip Anagnos.

" Slamming a load of Progressive Funk to a load of Progressive film makers is my idea of a good time! Get the beer chillin', I'm on my way" -- D:Fuse www.djdfuse.com

The Slamdance Sparky Awards

Prior to the Closing Night Birthday Party, is the invitation only Award Ceremony. Winners in 10 categories will be presented with the "Sparky Award" a bronze statuette of the Slamdance Sparky dog mascot. Winners will appear on www.slamdance.com at midnight on January 24th.

Award winning films from the Park City festival (as well as Slamdance
Poland) will be shown in the Best of Slamdance series in Salt Lake City at Brewvies and Madstone on Saturday, January 24th and in Los Angeles on February 5, 6 & 12 at the American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theatre (www.egyptiantheatre.com )
