Sacramento French Film Festival September 16 - October 13: Catch-Up Screenings

September 16 - October 13, 2022
The Sacramento French Film Festival
Presents

CATCH-UP VIRTUAL SCREENINGS

We hope you had a beautiful summer and we are excited to present our fall series of catch-up virtual screenings on our Streaming Platform: https://virtual.sacramentofrenchfilmfestival.org/

For those who couldn't attend, or for those who want to revisit, the films presented in theatres at the 21st SFFF, here is your chance to watch some of them virtually: from September 16 to October 13, you can enjoy four of the films we presented in-person last June.

To give you more flexibility, we are giving you more time to rent and watch the films. How does it work? A film will be released every week and each film will remain available to rent for a whole week. Once you rent a film and the viewing period opens, you will have seven days to begin watching it, and once you begin watching, two days to finish it.

SALES ARE NOW OPEN!

- SINGLE TICKET: $13 (Purchase Single Tickets on each film page).

- CATCH-UP PASS FOR ALL FOUR FILMS: $44 (Purchase your Pass HERE!)

And don't miss our Zoom Discussion with Le Professeur Kevin Elstob on Thursday, October 13 at 6:30pm. More details to follow.

OPENING SEPTEMBER 16

HARD SHELL, SOFT SHELL
Comedy

Our Catch-Up Program starts with Hard Shell, Soft Shell, a sunny and feminist romantic comedy set in the south of France about a sensitive guy who hopes to win his girlfriend back with the help of his closeknit group of friends, and some fancy dance moves. The perfect film to prolong summer vacation!

OPENING SEPTEMBER 23

MAGNETIC BEATS
Musical Drama

The second film in our Program, Magnetic Beats is an exhilarating coming of age story set in the early 1980s about a young man making his way into adulthood through first love, family drama, and mandatory military service. Magnetic Beats brilliantly captures the era with a stellar soundtrack of European post-punk classics.

OPENING SEPTEMBER 30
HEAR ME OUT

Romantic Comedy

The third film in our Program, Hear Me Out, came close to winning our Audience Prize this year! Hear Me Out is a tender and fun romantic comedy about a history teacher losing his hearing and his hilarious efforts to hide it from his friends and colleagues, who find his behavior increasingly odd. A comedy that celebrates people’s individualities and differences with humor and sensibility.

OPENING OCTOBER 7
THE HEROICS
Uplifting Dramedy

Our Catch-Up Program will end with our 2022 "Coup de Coeur," a feel-good dramedy about a 53-year-old recovering addict trying to get his life together. The Heroics features an extraordinary performance by lead actor and co-screenwriter François Créton, whose own struggles with addiction inspired the endearing character of Michel.
