The fifth edition of River to River. Florence Indian Film Festival will take place from 9th to 15th December 2005 at the cinema Spazio Uno in Florence, Italy, under the direction of Selvaggia Velo.

The River to River. Florence Indian Film Festival is the first film festival of the world to be completely consecrated to the Indian cinema and the films concerning India; and to achieve the purpose of offering a more complete vision of India, the Festival has been opened also to the films coming from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The edition 2005 of the Festival extends its program to a length of seven days, also thanks to the close collaboration with the Festival dei Popoli of Florence, which will pass the baton to River to River. Florence Indian Film Festival after its conclusion on the 8th December.
On 15th December the two Florence Festivals together will have a common day of showings with a screenings of Louis Malle works, that will take place at cinema Spazio Uno and at the French Institute of Florence, that will participate to this initiative.

The program of the Florence Indian Film Festival of the cinema hall ranges over fetaures, short films, documentaries and the retrospective. The video hall, which was the scene in 2004 of the renewed proposal of the Sandokan TV series, will house a program devoted to research and communication.
