QDoc : queer film festival devoted exclusively to documentaries

“One of the top 10 LGBT Film Festivals in the US”
Jenni Olson, planetout.com

“It was likely the first time I experienced such a heightened communal emotional connection with other sexual minorities—perhaps in my life.”
Stephen Marc Beaudoin, JustOut

The nation's only queer film festival devoted exclusively to documentaries returns to Portland for it's third year May 28-31. Opening the festival is the award winning film, City of Borders, a hopeful look at intermingling between lesbians and gay men, Israelis and Palestinians who all find refuge in Jerusalem’s only gay bar. City of Borders director Yun Suh will be in attendance for the screening and the opening night party following the film. Visit www.queerdocfest.org for ticket and schedule information on May 10th. $8 Clinton Street Theater, 2522 SE Clinton.
QDoc is being presented in cooperation with the Q-Center, whose mission is to increase the visibility of, and foster connection within, metropolitan Portland’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Questioning (LGBTQ) community. The center aims to build public awareness and support, and celebrates LGBTQ diversity through art, culture, and programming.
