Psychotronic.info is back online

Psychotronic.info - the erratically-pumping online organ of the original Psychotronic Film Society - is back online and ready to rumble!
For 25 years, the Psychotronic Film Society has been entertaining and enlightening the Chicago area on the subject of weird, incredibly strange, bizarre, grindhouse, cult movies with regular and irregular screening meetings, public events and periodicals. For the past 15 years, we've taken this cinema circus to the world via the PFS website at www.psychotronic.info .
Well, the world of psychotronic films has changed a great deal over the years, expanding into the mainstream, pushing into every facet of pop culture. Once we were the only psychotronic group in the world, and now official and unofficial sects are all over the globe. So we decided it was about time we changed with it, revamping our website and spreading out into social media.
For regular blog entries, reviews, news, interviews, prize giveaways and general Movie Madness, go to our main hub at www.Psychotronic.info .

Starting now, we're posting new material daily and filling in our vast archive of material in our database. Please stay tuned for all the fun!

About the Psychotronic Film Society
Founded in 1985 by Del Close, Michael Flores and Pan Smith, the Chicago Psychotronic Film Society was at first just a small group of movie enthusiasts who gathered frequently in private homes to watch weird and rare video. When the crowd got too big they went public, holding screening parties in galleries, bars, theaters, night clubs and some pretty bizarre locations. The PFS held a screening and book signing inside a video store. They had a signing party in the Palmer House for Clive Barker. They threw a massive Halloween party at Limelight. They sold out a triple bill of "social ills" shockers at Metro, lent support to the Chicago Cinema Museum and ran a series of films inside the Chicago Civic Opera House.

About Psychotronic.info
Since 1995, the Psychotronic Film Society website has taken over the job of the PFS newsletter, bringing the public at large news about our screenings and other events, film and video reviews, and more! Now, Psychotronic.info continues to evolve online. Check us out!

PR: Please add us to your e-mail press list at psycho@psychotronic.info and we'll send you our address for screeners and giveaways. Thank you.
