PORTO FEMME - INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2022

Needless to say, the 5th edition of Porto Femme, held from the 12th to the 17th of September, already leaves us with a lot of nostalgia! From the first day of the festival we had the privilege of meeting the women filmmakers from all over the world who presented us with their work of experiences and struggles.

The festival program brought together several activities, from film sessions, conversations, workshops, tributes, parties and a collective exhibition. The women's cinema occupied several spaces in the city.

All these activies were only possible with all the people who were part of this edition.
This is the time to, once again, say THANK YOU to the directors, Jury members, researchers, trainers, partnerships and, of course, the volunteer team that allowed the 5th edition of the festival to be held!

EXTENSIONS: PORTO FEMME 2022

The 5th edition of Porto Femme featured 118 films spread across 31 countries, giving us the opportunity to give visibility to more than 100 women! Our Jury was not indifferent to the talent of all these artists and neither were we!

The achievements of this edition are marked by films that won us over and brought with them new perspectives and artistic languages.
And, therefore, for those who did not have the opportunity to see and discover the 2022's winners, our Femme Sessions are now the screen that extends the edition in which we present the award-winning films.

In September and October we performed 3 sessions in which we screened some of the awarded films.
In November, on the 16th, at Maus Hábitos, you will also be able to watch a session with more award-winning films.

Femme is still alive and recommended!!!

Porto Femme will be present at the 2nd Festival Género ao Centro, with the project "Cinamiza-te" - Cinema and Debate.
On the 26th of November, at the Casa da Cultura de Góis Juniores e Seniores, we will have another Porto Femme extension session, designed for families.
The proposal consistis in a special film session made by women that adress different themes, always with the Woman in the center.

All the films are about the female sexuality, violence against women, gender identity, human rights; among others.
At the end of the session, a place for discussion and debate on the topics is available for everyone!
