Orobie Film Festival highlights

“MONTAGNA ITALIA” association, with the collaboration of Teamitalia, organizes the Third edition of the “Orobie Film Festival - International Festival of Mountain Documentary and Fictional Film”.
It will take place in Bergamo (Lombardia – Italy) from the 27th to the 31th January of 2009.
The idea of the Festival comes out from the awarness that the Orobic Alps and Lombardia represent a wonderful and prolific natural place from the economic and cultural point of view.
To promote a better knowledge of the territory “Montagna Italia”, Teamitalia, CAI (Italian alpine club) and the OROBIE magazine, have organized a five days projections, divided in 3 competitions: the first is open to documentaries promoting the Orobie Alps and Prealps (OROBIE FILM FESTIVAL), the second one wants to promote the turistic and cultural heritage of Lombardia and its traditions (LOMBARDIA REGION), and the last one is called INTERNATIONAL AREA. This last section is open to documentaries on Mountain’s environment and culture, those showing the traditions of the people living in mountain areas.
It’s for this last section of the competition that we ask for your availability to cooperate with us, offering your support and inscribing movies produced in your country.
The last day to present your works is the 30th October of 2008.
Your documentaries must have been realized after January 2001.
In the file attached you can find the application form of the contest.
