Festival Director Patrice Williams announced today that Disneynature's "Oceans" will premiere at the 2010 Going Green Film Festival at the Writers Guild Theatre in Los Angeles, April 4, 2010. The festival runs April 2-4, 2010.

With "Oceans" Disneynature, Disney's newest independent film label, explores the vast and mysterious waters that cover more than two-thirds of our world's surface. "Earth" grossed $16.1 million dollars its opening weekend and set records for box office success as a nature documentary. "Oceans" looks  to open just as impressively.

"Disneynature's success with ‘Earth' is indicative of the public's heightened awareness of and interest in environmental issues," said Patrice Williams. "This awareness extends across the board, from children in elementary school in the midwest, to unit production managers here in Hollywood. That's good news for the planet."

In addition to the premier of "Oceans", the festival will honor Fox's "24" and CBS's "The Good Wife" for leading the industry in environmentally-friendly practices.

There will also be FREE screenings of "going green" SOUTH PARK episodes, Saturday, April 3, 2010, starting at 8:45 pm.  One episode entitled: Smug Alert - follows Stan as he persuades all the citizens of South Park to buy hybrid cars.
