Mobile media symposium in Hamburg at BitFilm 05

On 4th November mobile multimedia professionals will meet
at Schmidt-Theater in Hamburg, to explore trends, content and business models for mobile media.

The symposium is organised by the team of Bitfilm Festival, which takes place at the same time, in cooperation with the State of Hamburg’s Independent Media Commission (HAM), Studio Hamburg and Debitel subsidiary Midray.
Will we watch TV on cell phones ? Will animated ring videos replace ring tones?
Which fi lms, series, and games work well on the small screens of mobile devices? For what kind of content are customers willing to pay?

09:30 - 11:00 Content en route

11:30 - 13:00 Small-size sales - with speakers from Vodafone, T-Mobile,

16:30 - 17:00 Final discussion

Bitfilm is the first German festival to offer a competition (since 2003) for films made for mobile devices. It accepts films with a maximum length of 90 seconds which are optimised for the small screens of mobile phones.

The audience decides about the 1500 Euro Studio Hamburg Micromovies Award.
