Mar del Plata new Fest for independent cinema

FIRST MAR DEL PLATA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF INDEPENDENT CINEMA

The argentine city of Mar del Plata, where the Class A Film Festival takes place, will offer a new Film Festival window to show independent films.
The new Film Festival will be organized by the programming team from the Buenos Aires International Film Festival of Independent Cinema (BAFICI).

The inaugural MARFICI will start on December 1st and will have show eight sections with eight films in each one. Films like "Goodbye, Dragon Inn" by Tsai Ming-liang, "Cinevardaphoto" by Agnes Varda or the lastest film by Alain Resnais "Not On the Lips" will be in the Film Fest.
In addition to the eight sections, where we will find sections of documentaries, musicals and the argentinian independent cinema, the MARFICI will have an Adolfo Aristarain´s retrospective. The films "The Lion's Share" and "Last Days of the Victim" among other films will be presented.
Eduardo Antín, the Fest Director of the BAFICI and now of the MARFICI, said that the Film Fest will be simple and casual with no guests for its first edition.
