Section Latin America the XXIst: With the years this section has fortified and taken more importance inside the festival. This year there were 18 movies that have been presented. Among them the public loved: "Cachimba" by Caiozzi (Chile) and "Machuca" by Wood (Chile) The winning movie was, “Sums and subtractions” by Gaviria ( Colombia), “Voces inocentes” by Mandoki (Mexico) and “One day without Mexicans” by Arau (Mexico). Nevertheless, the rest of the films were well received by the public and the critique.

The Honoring to the Argentine cinema: has given place to a night show with personalities from the Argentine cinema of yesterday and today.They were present Ferderico Luppi, Cecilia Roth, Leonardo Favio. There has been projected Hugo del Carril 's wonderful movie “Las Aguas bajan turbias” (1952). Also there has been offered a recognition of the figures of the humor in the Argentine cinema: Nini Marshall, Luis Sandrini y Jorge Luz.

Producers and projects: The producers of cinema gave a conference about his projects. Among them were: Sulichin, Ramvaud, Lantos and Benders. The conference subject matter was " big producers, big projects ". Each of the producers gave his point of view of the production and they shared their projects with the public. Laurence Bender obtained a recognision for his works., and confessed that: "In Hollywood we do not have the possibility of doing movies of social content, for me was an enormous pleasure to produce the film “Innocent Voices” by Mandoki.

Mercosur Film Market: This space was granted for the concretion of agreements between the Mercosur, Latin America, The European Union and Asia.
The four days that this event took place were innovative and showed a big difference between this festival and the previous ones. The - Recam - was presented in the opening of the audio-visual observatory of the mercosur; this will help to create a Latin-American unit with an important presence of the Mercosur. There were important cultural figures from Bolivia, Brazil, Praguay and Uruguay.
