Martin Scorsese Masterclass in Cannes

LFFEC 2022 will be held from September 23rd to October 2nd

It’s official: LFFEC 2022 will be held in autumn, from September 23rd to October 2nd.

The date chosen for Effetto Cinema Notte is October 1st, while other showings are scheduled from April 30th to May 29th, but we will soon come back to those.
The showings will be a kind of preview of the Festival activities and will be organised in collaboration with the Casa d’Arte San Lorenzo and Over The Real.

We also seize this opportunity to introduce the incredible official graphics for the Festival, designed as always by our Francesco Giani.

It’s a concept inspired by our desire to pay tribute to 3 icons of Italian cinema: Monica Vitti, Vittorio Gassman and Pier Paolo Pasolini. Hence, a face stolen by “Tosca” (La Tosca) hides behind the crow’s wing from “The Hawks and the Sparrows” (Uccellacci e Uccellini), while the Lancia Aurelia from “The Easy Life” (Il sorpasso) is shown at the bottom of the composition.
Between illustration and text, red and blue are the dominant hues. Warm and cold tones; an essential and frantic search for balance, recalling the quasi-dystopian times in which we are now living.

Lucca Film Festival 2022, or: DUEMILAVENTIDUE”.
