Laws of Attraction closing San Fransisco SFIFF

The 47th San Francisco International Film Festival (April 15–29) is set to close on Thursday, April 29, 7 pm, at the historic Castro Theatre with Peter Howitt’s LAWS OF ATTRACTION. A humorous depiction of two warring lawyers who fall for each other, the film stars Pierce Brosnan, Julianne Moore and Parker Posey.
Divorce attorneys Audrey and Daniel have seen love gone wrong in all its worst case scenarios. So, how bad could their chances be? Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore and Pierce Brosnan star in the latest film directed by Peter Howitt (SLIDING DOORS). The film's ensemble cast is led by Parker Posey (A MIGHTY WIND), Michael Sheen (UNDERWORLD), Frances Fisher (TITANIC) and Nora Dunn (BRUCE ALMIGHTY).

Roxanne Messina Captor, executive director of the San Francisco Film Society, said, “LAWS OF ATTRACTION, with its charming lead performances, bucolic Irish setting and humorous depiction of the ups and downs of love, makes for an ideal closing note for this year’s Festival.”

At 9:30 pm as the lights of the 47th International Film Festival begin to go down, the Closing Night party revs up until the wee hours at San Francisco’s stylish and sophisticated night spot, Club NV. Located in S.F.’s trendy South of Market District, Club NV is more than an elegant dance club, with its multilevel lounge, dazzling dance floor and cozy VIP suites. Party into the night to the spins of the city’s top DJs, enjoy tastes from Bay Area restaurateurs and delicious cocktails. Special admission film only $25 regular / $20 for SFFS members; film & party $125 VIP / $85 regular / $75 for SFFS members. Sponsored by Sundance Channel and Comcast.
