Judge Reinhold to appear at Ozark Foothills FilmFest screening

Visit by Judge Reinhold Will Highlight 2005 Ozark Foothills FilmFest
April 1-17, 2005
Actor Will Appear at Screening of Beverly Hills Cop

Film and television star Judge Reinhold, best known for his role as the earnest but ineffectual detective Billy Rosewood in Beverly Hills Cop (1984), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), and Beverly Hills Cop III (1994), will attend a dinner and a screening of Beverly Hills Cop as part of the fourth annual Ozark Foothills FilmFest. Reinhold will be in Heber Springs on Saturday, April 16 for a pre-movie reception and dinner at the Red Apple Inn and Country Club at 5:00 p.m. followed by the screening at 8:30 p.m. at the Gem Community Theater. Reinhold’s rise to stardom began in 1982 with his performance as Brad Hamilton in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. In addition to teaming with Eddie Murphy on all three of the extremely successful Beverly Hills Cop installments, his major screen credits include Gremlins (1984), Ruthless People (1986), The Santa Clause (1994), Beethoven’s 3rd (2000), Beethoven’s 4th (2001), and The Santa Clause 2 (2002). His television appearances include guest spots on Seinfeld, Monk, and The Dead Zone and a number of TV movies, including Four Eyes and Six-Guns (1992) and As Good As Dead (1995). He has also hosted Saturday Night Live and appeared in a Pat Benatar music video.

Reinhold and his wife Amy will attend a reception and dinner in their honor at the Red Apple. Seating is extremely limited and advance reservations are required. Tickets include reception appetizers, dinner, and preferred seating for the Gem screening. Tickets for the dinner and screening combination are $40, $75 for couples. Tickets for the dinner are available by calling the Red Apple Inn at 501-362-3111

Tickets for the 8:30 screening of Beverly Hills Cop are $10; they are also included in both the “All Things Heber Springs” festival pass ($35) and the “All Things FilmFest” festival pass ($50). Information about these discount passes and the entire festival schedule are available at www.ozarkfoothillsfilmfest.org. Advance tickets are available by calling 870-251-1189.

FilmFest president and co-founder Bob Pest calls the Rienhold visit “a real indication of just how far our festival has come in just three years.” The 2005 Ozark Foothills FilmFest takes place April 1-17 at a number of venues in Batesville, Heber Springs, and Searcy. For more information, visit www.ozarkfoothillsfilmfest.org. Ozark Foothills FilmFest is an educational non-profit corporation, supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Arkansas Arts Council, and the Arkansas Department of Economic Development. Presenting sponsors are First Community Bank of Batesville and Searcy, the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, Lyon College, and WRD Entertainment. Additional support for the Reinhold visit provided by the Heber Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission, the Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, the Red Apple Inn and Country Club, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Visiting Artists Program.
