I've Seen Films Festival impressive Jury

The I'VE SEEN FILMS International Short Film Festival, together with its founder, the international artist Rutger Hauer, announced today that Mr. Richard Gere and Mr. Paul Verhoeven have joined the Festival’s International Jury.
The short film submission window closed on April 7, 2008, and the Festival's organization would like to thank all the authors who have so enthusiastically accepted the challenge. Their response has been extraordinary, resulting in approximately 1,500 short films sent from 50 different countries.
The I'VE SEEN FILMS International Short Film Festival will be held from September 22 to 26, 2008 in Milan, the 2015 World Expo City, and tickets for the Award Evening, as well as some of the Special Events screenings with Q&A sessions, are already on sale on the theater website. Details are available at www.cortoweb.it/icfilms/eng/program.asp
Some of the Special Events include screenings of ''Blade Runner - The Final Cut'', ''Sin City'', and ''Confessions of a Dangerous Mind'', followed by Q&A sessions hosted by Mr. Hauer for the audience. Other Special Events are under planning.
I'VE SEEN FILMS International Short Film Festival was founded in 2007 by Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, The Hitcher, Ladyhawke, The Legend of the Holy Drinker, Sin City, Batman Begins, etc.), with the aim of promoting, in an independent way, on a world-wide basis and also through the internet streaming medium, the works of filmmakers desiring powerful exposure and visibility to their films.

This new-concept platform offers a new opportunity for filmmakers and gives the largest possible artistic choice to audiences all over the world.
I'VE SEEN FILMS 2008 is creating an innovative way of linking the new millennium medium to the firmly established cultural film festival tradition, with Rutger Hauer at the helm, personally awarding the Festival winners.
This Festival edition, in addition to the main film categories, also adds a special section dedicated to the HIV/AIDS subject. Filmmakers have been invited to send works on this subject, with the intent being to continue to show the multiple angles of this constantly spreading disease.
The I'VE SEEN FILMS 2008 Festival will take place in Milan (Italy), in the huge and modern Skyline multiplex venue, comprised of a very large screening room with extremely comfortable tiers of seats, with a 20-meter (66 ft.) wide screen and with a state-of-the-art technical set-up that includes an International THX® Certified system.

The distinctive international feature of the I've Seen Films Festival has promoted a partnership agreement with Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, the most ancient Film School in the world devoted to supporting the high-quality training and the discovery of young film talents.
