Istanbul Festival Jury of the Golden Tulip Competition

Dagur Kari will be taking part in the jury of the Golden Tulip Competition of the 26th International İstanbul Film Festival; not Bent Hammer as previously announced. We apologise for the mistake.

The 26th International İstanbul Film Festival Golden Tulip Jury will be presided over by the master director who won the first ever Golden Tulip Award in 1985 with “1984”: Michael Radford. After 26 years, Radford will be honouring the İstanbul Film Festival.
The jury will also include Udo Kier (the cult actor of films such as “Manderlay”, “Blade”, “Armageddon”, “My Own Private Idaho”), Dagur Kari, the Icelandic director of "Noi Albinoi" and "Dark Horse"; Lone Scherfig, director of one of the most popular films of past festivals, “Italian for Beginners”; Katriel Schory, the director of the Israel Film Fund; and two Turkish jurors, director Zeki Demirkubuz and actress Tilbe Saran.

There are 15 nominees in the International Competition of the 26th International İstanbul Film Festival – all themed around the world of “arts and the artist” or are literary adaptations.
