Awards for Best Screenplay, Style Council, D.I.Y., the Audience Award and more will be presented. In addition, Stash Magazine will give its award to the best animation project. This year our prizes include camera rental packages from sponsors Moviola and AMP Filmworks, as well as books and software from Michael Wiese and Media Services and gift certificates from Amoeba, Kung Pao Kitty, Agua Spa at The Mondrian and more. Plus the ever popular and highly coveted HypeFest cheerleader trophy! After the awards presentation, the party continues with the funky stylings of DJ Starskee Suave.

This event is a list-only event. To RSVP, please email info@hypefest.com. (Badgeholders may attend without RSVP.)

The Tucson Film Office offers free location scouting assistance and liaison services in Southern Arizona and along its border with Mexico. Locations range from desert to pine covered peaks, architecture spans 17th Century Spanish to Antoine Predoc-designed space-age. All illuminated by year round sun. Fly direct - Tucson to Los Angeles is an hour and a half with dozens of flights each day. An experienced crew base awaits.

Parking
Parking in the area can be difficult and we recommend you park your car in a pay lot while you attend the screenings.

Your best bets are:
The Doolittle Theatre parking lot - entrance at 1623 N. Vine St. (btwn Hollywood and Selma). This parking lot may be full for part of Sunday due to the Hollywood Farmer's Market. Once you park go to the far end of the parking lot and you can exit the lot directly on to Ivar, right around the corner from CineSpace.

The Sunset + Vine parking structure - enter on Sunset. Park all day for $6.

There are other pay lots on Hollywood at Vine and on Cahuenga at Hollywood Blvd. There is also some street parking available (read all posted signs carefully!) On Sunday, during the Farmer's Market please allow extra time for parking.
