Golden Reel is Spinning Fast in Hungarian Capital

In the final countdown of the Budapest Film Week, both the ordinary audience and professional film people are getting a clearer and clearer picture in their heads concerning the films of the event. So far, so good we might as well say; with an estimated number of nearly 30,000 viewers until now the overall feedback is very positive due to the good organization presented.

Professionals say that this year’s documentary line-up is very strong, although the quality of feature films is not something to neglect either. Attila Gigor’s The Investigator achieved that which few films of the Film Week had so far—on the screening for foreign guests there was an instant, unstoppable burst of applause even before the film was completely finished. It is said, that among ordinary viewers it was no different…

Other than the screenings of films there are several other programs that enthusiastic fans of Hungarian film production can enjoy during the Film Week. Between 1-15 February participants of the film week have the possibility of attending the 5th Hungarian Film Poster exhibition (5. Magyar Filmplakát kiállítás) containing 36 Hungarian designed posters of the past year’s feature films.

Because of the big interest, there have been several extra screenings scheduled and in Budapest’s Bem and Uránia movie theaters all the award-winning films will be showcased after the final day of the Film Week.
