Film Finance Forum at Zurich Film Festival

Zurich Film Festival: The First Ever Film Finance Forum in Switzerland
Theme: Financing in the Film Industry

Winston|Baker will present the inaugural Film Finance Forum Zurich within the framework of the Zurich Film Festival on September 25, 2010. Leading experts from the film industry and the world of finance are invited to Zurich’s Hotel Dolder Grand to participate in a day of discussions on the theme of film financing and to explore the influence of current economic trends on the international film industry.

The Film Finance Forum is an annual event that has to date taken place in Los Angeles, New York and at the Festival de Cannes. The forum is not only aimed at potential investors from the world of finance, but also at the film and entertainment industry’s film promoters, producers and worldwide distributors, as well as branch consultants such as lawyers, insurance agents and investment advisors.

The list of panel participants who have already agreed to speak includes Bernhard Burgener (CEO Constantin Medien), Roeg Sutherland (Film Finance Agent CAA), Alexis Garcia (WME Global Agent), Judith Chan (Senior Manager Coutts and Co.), Stewart Till (CEO Icon Group) and Marc Gabizon (Managing Director Wild Bunch Germany).

The main objective of the Film Finance Forum Zurich is to establish the most important industry meeting for film financing in the German-speaking world. This one-day event will additionally serve to highlight the growth potential of Switzerland as a location for the international film industry. The US film magazine Variety is the event’s media partner.
