A quick sneak peak, here are a few things we are up to…

 

This October, we are launching a slate of cutting-edge educational panels as part of the Producers Club and Cinematography Focus.  Panel conversations will include Virtual Production, A.I’s impact on the industry, and the Director-DP collaboration.

 

Heads up… the absolute final Submission Deadline is Friday, August 4th.  Please make sure to submit your latest and greatest work — we look forward to seeing all your creative projects. 

 

Stay tuned for more updates about the Cinematography Focus, Casting Director workshops, and Masterclasses.

We are thrilled to welcome Barbara Bergman to the festival Steering Committee.

Barbara is a long time supporter of EMIFF, and has been by our side since the very first festival edition in 2012. She was the first to sponsor the festival and has tirelessly supported its growth in many ways. Born in Brazil to Swedish parents, Barbara spent her childhood in Brazil, Mexico, USA and Sweden.

As an assistant programmer she will watch the following categories; International Feature Films, Debut Feature Films and MADE IN BALEARES Feature Films. Born and raised in Mallorca, Eugenia is a passionate film aficionado we look forward to her input for this years program selection.

We had the immense pleasure to inaugurate the EMIFF Cinematography Focus in 2022 with DP legend Ed Lachman, ASC. Other great DP's who attended the festival and participated in panels and masterclasses are Ula Pontikos BSC, John de Borman, BSC, AFC, Josep María Civit, AEC, Daniela Cajías, Alana Mejía González and Rainer Lipski.
