"Dreamgirls" Mariah Wilson is a not-to-be missed performer making waves in Hollywood. At the age of twelve, she has already held her own with big names like Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Hudson. That isn't surprising given her life-long commitment to performing as not only an actress, but singer and dancer as well.
As Mariah has enjoyed success in her career, she is determined to share her time and energy with filmmakers her own age. In July, FreshiFilms will give Mariah a great audience of young filmmakers at both the FreshiFilm Camp (July 9-13, July 16-20, July 30-Aug.3 at the Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood) and the FreshiFilm Festival (July 21, all day, Raleigh Studios in Holltywood).
Mariah will be speaking and hosting a question and answer session on July 12 at FreshiFilm Camp. This camp is sold out and the campers are really excited to meet with professionals like Mariah during the weeklong filmmaking intensive camp.
Mariah will also be signing autographs and meeting face-to-face with young filmmakers at the FreshiFilm Festival on July 21. The Festival, a showcase of films 'Made By Kids, For Kids" is being held at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood beginning at 9:00am, with the awards ceremony to begin at 4:30pm. The day is filled with immersive workshops, hands-on filmmaking experience and "up close" meetings with working film professionals.
