Double Dare: Where is it Now?

“I guess you don’t have to be boring to be an adult.” – ZOË BELL

Amanda Micheli does a wonderful job comparing and contrasting careers of two female Hollywood stunt women in her film “Double Dare”. She brings the story so every one can relate to it, whether you involved in the entertainment industry or not. Zoë Bell of “Kill Bill” and “Xena: Warrior Princess” fame and Jeannie Epper, best known for Lynda Carter’s double in TVs “Wonder Woman”.

Where is the film now? After showcasing at international film festivals, including Toronto and 2003 Hollywood’s AFI, screening throughout the U.S., Micheli’s one of a kind depiction is now rentable. Blockbuster® and Netflix® both carry it and you can purchase it on the film’s website. It’s so good to know a film’s home audience environment supersedes its theatrical life. This is a film you definitely want to watch, and re-watch, and admire the talent of Micheli’s filmmaking, Purcell Carson’s editing, and Zoë’s and Jeannie’s honesty.

Finally a story of women by women and yes, in Hollywood! These 2 brilliant and courageous women surpass a time when men used to dress up as women to fill in as stunt doubles. The film is backed with interview footage of Steve Spielberg and Quentin Tarantino, who was in the audience for “Double Dare’s” AFI Premiere. Micheli depicts Epper as young at heart and Zoë as enthusiastic at the beginning of her career.
