Cleveland Fest is on, closing with silent auction & raffle

The 29th CIFF will include a Silent Auction and Raffle that will be held for the entire eleven days of the festival.

Silent Auction Items include movie memorabilia, intercontinental vacations, sports tickets, sailing and car racing adventures, artwork, wine and food. Film festival attendees can stop by the Silent Auction & Raffle table to register and then make a bid on the package(s). The website can be checked each morning for the current highest bid (www.clevelandfilm.org). Bidding on all auction packages will close at 6:30pm ET on closing night, March 20, 2005.

A $10 raffle ticket (or sets of 3 for $25) will allow Film Festival attendees to bid on any one of the ten raffle items. Tickets can be purchased online at www.clevelandfilm.org, or at CIFF at Tower city Cinemas on The Avenue at Tower City Center. Winners will be drawn on Closing Night, March 20, 2005.

"The Board of Directors and staff of the Cleveland Film Society are thrilled to include an eleven-day Silent Auction in the 29th Cleveland International Film Festival. The activities surrounding the Silent Auction will add another layer of excitement and even more energy to one of Cleveland's most vibrant happening in the arts,” states Marcie Goodman, Executive Director of the Cleveland Film Society. “And we are lucky enough to have Pinxav (www.pinxav.com) as the official sponsor of this Silent Auction.”

Pinxav (www.pinxav.com), a trusted name in diaper rash treatment since 1927, was invented by local Clevelander Milford Harris. The company is now run by his wife, Lillian Harris and her children and grandchildren from their eastside Cleveland office.

For a complete list of items and descriptions, please check out www.clevelandfilm.org.

The 29th CIFF will be held at Tower City Cinemas on The Avenue at Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland from March 10 – 20, 2005.
