Celebrities lined up for Action On Film International

The 2007 Action On Film International Film Festival announced today that along with Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Bill Duke, a number of other major celebrity guests will be in attendance at the festival at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center July 27 - 29, 2007.

This year's Will Rogers Foundation Award will be presented by Rory Bruer, the Sony Executive behind the big hits "Casino Royale," "Spiderman" and "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby."

"To have Mr. Bruer give away the 2007 Will Rogers Foundation Award is incredible," said Del Weston, the AOF Festival creator.

The Will Rogers Foundation Award will be given to veteran film and television actor Chad Everett. Everett also stars in the AOF Festival premiere "The Pink Conspiracy" which will show July 28 at 11 a.m.

Also in attendance will be writer, producer and director D.B. Sweeney who starred in the films "Eight Men Out," "Lonesome Dove" and "Hear No Evil." Sweeney's newest film "Two Tickets to Paradise," which features Ed Harris and an all-star cast, has been nominated for four AOF Festival awards.

"After speaking to D.B. I can see why his career has lasted so long. This guy is a class act and a great personality. It will be a pleasure to have him at our show," Weston said.

Golden Globe and Oscar nominated actor Ryan O'Neal, who is nominated in the AOF Festival for his work in "Wasteland", may also be at the 2007 AOF festival award show.

In addition, Jerri Manthey of Survivor fame and 2006 AOF winner for Best Actress will act as host for the 2007 AOF Fest Award Show. Ms. Manthey will give out select awards during the show.

Previous attendees to the AOF Fest have been Nick Mancuso, David Carradine, John Saxon, Stephen Williams, Don 'The Dragon' Wilson, Frances Bay and many others.
