Domenic Venturo, President of the Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF), is pleased to announce the 2007 Board of Directors, including new board members Brent Buechler, Margo Helper, Alex MacWilliam and James Pettigrew.

• Brent Buechler is the Manager of Marketing and Communications at the Glenbow Museum.
• Margo Helper is the National Executive Director of the SEEDS Foundation that provides environmental and energy programming to over 8000 Canadian schools.
• Alex MacWilliam practices environmental law as a Partner with the firm of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP.
• James Pettigrew is a Partner in the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), and Calgary leader of PwC's Entertainment and Media practice.

Returning and long standing Board Members include:

• Domenic Venturo, a partner with Scott Hall LLP, has been a CIFF Director since 1999, and President of its Board of Directors since 2000.
• Teresina Bontorin, CIFF Vice President of Operations, is a lawyer and sole practitioner. She has been on the Board since 2002.
• Melodie Lindsay, CIFF Board Treasurer, is an accountant with Access Pipeline.
• Peter Wallis, CIFF Secretary & Vice President of Board Development, is President & CEO of The Van Horne Institute for International Transportation and Regulatory Affairs.
CIFF Directors
• Neil Campbell is the Chief Operating Officer for Landmark Cinemas. He has over 30 years of experience in film exhibition in Canada.
• Murray Ord, CIFF Vice President Programming & Artistic Direction, is a founding Partner and Executive Producer of Alberta Film Entertainment and previously held the position of Alberta Film Commissioner.
• Terry Whitehead is the Director of Fund Development for the Arts Club Theatre Company in Vancouver.

Newest Board Member Brent Buechler believes Calgary is on the tipping point of becoming a world-class city, and is well-deserving of an elite International film festival. “I am committed to help CIFF realize this ambition and to establishing the Festival’s reputation among Canada’s best and beyond,” explains Buechler.
As the Marketing and Communications Manager at the Glenbow Museum Buechler knows first hand the value of the many diverse, quality cultural experiences that Calgarians have in their own backyard – CIFF being one of these ‘must do’ activities.
