Barbara Peacock, director of Amazing Grace

 

Barbara Peacock studied Fine Arts at The Boston University School for
Fine Arts, and photography and filmmaking at The School for the Museum of Fine
Arts / Tufts. She received an Arts Lottery Grant for her photographic study
entitled A Portrait of Lowell and more recently, an Arts Council
Grant for her next short film Final Stage.

Barbara´s early street photography days gradually turned to commercial photography
and portraiture. Her photography has been displayed in numerous shows, galleries
and museums and have garnered her many awards including 4 Kodak Gallery Awards
and 3 Fuji Masterpiece awards. She is a frequent guest lecturer at photography
schools and conventions.

In 1997 Barbara wrote and produced a short film titled Three thirty three.
This film was directed and shot by her 17 year old filmmaker son, Landon
Pallian
. The film had its world premiere at The Blue Sky Film Festival,
Las Vegas in 1998 and was also shown at The Tennessee Film Festival `98 and
The Long Island Film Festival `98.



Barbara´s feature dramatic screenplay The Last Leaf recently won
an Honorable mention in the Quantum Quest Screen writing Contest `98.

She is currently working on her new film The Nightingle and the Rose.
