Monster House Animation Supervisor Troy Saliba will be presenting at this at this year’s AEAF conference. Sony Pictures Animation has confirmed that CG Supervisor Max Bruce will be attending to present the session on the new CG animated feature Open Season, due out in Australian cinemas November 30. New Session: RINGTONE DEATHMATCH is a 13 part series where nine animated contestants perform their Ringtones and compete against each other. Psycho Teddy, Hilda the Witch and The Hobo Monster are contenders in a new creation from Sydney’s Sixty40 that combines the greatest elements of reality TV into one roller coaster of doom. Be prepared for the thrill of killing off contestants you hate. It will change forever what you expect from reality TV. Digital Video Festival - December 5-6
One of the most successful Australian films of 2006 was shot entirely in DV on a Sony PD150 and a PD170. Kenny director Clayton Jacobson will be one of the new breed of DV/HDV filmmakers presenting their experiences at the Digital Video Festival. The Digital Cinematography masterclass on Day One will now be presented by Toby Oliver ACS who will be highlighting his experiences shooting Em 4 Jay (the fourth feature from Alkinos Tsilimidos) and Last Train to Freo (the debut feature for Jeremy Sims). Both films were shot by Toby in 2005 on digital high definition and finished on 35mm film. Katie Milwright, initially scheduled to deliver this session, is now undertaking a new independent feature for acclaimed short film director Ben Hackworth, called 'I won't grow up'.
