Opening cocktail with international guests in Berlin

Together with over 100 guests, the ACT opening reception – hosted by CICAE, AG Kino, and MUBI – marked the beginning of the training on Monday evening at Katerschmaus, a river-side venue at the vibrant creative hub Holzmarkt. It brought together the programme’s international participants and trainers as well as partners and friends from across the Berlin cinema, film, and cultural sector.

“I am very happy that we have the opportunity to celebrate the Training’s anniversary in Berlin, one of the arthouse cinema capitals of the world. Its diversity makes Berlin special, it makes the arthouse cinema sector special, that is why we go so well together”, says CCIAE-president Dr. Christian Bräuer.

In his opening speech, Bräuer pointed out the unwavering relevance of the Training as a means to advance professionalization, connection, and understanding across borders.

"We are thrilled to see cinema makers from across the globe come together at the Arthouse Cinema Training. We are joined ogether by our belief in the transformative power of the the art that we all love so much and our wish to form lasting connections across borders."
