Announcing the 59th Chicago International Film Festival Award Winners!
It is with great pleasure that we unveil the winners of the competitive award categories for the 59th Chicago International Film Festival!
The Gold Hugo in the International Feature Film Competition went to Gábor Reisz's Explanation for Everything. In the New Directors Competition, the Gold Hugo was awarded to Amr Gamal from The Burdened, while the International Documentary Competition Gold Hugo went to Tatiana Huezo's The Echo. Minhal Baig's We Grown Now received the Chicago Award for an outstanding film in the City & State program.
