Action on film winners make impact in the industry

Two winners from the 2005 Action On Film International Film Festival have achieved even more success after the show which was held in Long Beach CA,from July 29-31., 2005. Stan Harrington originally of Australia and Mark Mahon of Ireland recently moved forward with great careers in film after winning at the recent AOF Festival. Harrington the maverick filmmaker who created the Best of Show winner, Bred In The Bone, says, ‘The festival has literally changed my life, after winning I was asked to be a speaker at the recent NAB Show in Las Vegas, arguably the biggest media show in the world. I made Bred for only $5,000.00 but the people at AOF saw the best of the film and that put me overthe top.’Mahon, who won for Best Screenplay saw the win at the AOF Fest as a way to grab at the success which he feels he deserves…’Winning at the AOF gave me the courage to completely change my life. Since the win, I have opened two production companies, one in Los Angeles and one in Ireland and we are well on our way to producing our very first feature with major Hollywood talent.
This is in no small part due to the support we got from the people at Action On Film.’
