the Ischia International Arts Academy celebrates the movie and music industries with the 3rd Global Film & Music Fest (July 10-15, 2005) on the spectacular Isle of Ischia, a few miles off the coast from Capri and Naples, Italy.

This week of major film premieres, video screenings, music showcases and award ceremonies, will be chaired by the Minister of Italian Culture. Some of the most recognized International talents and Italian artists will also attend award ceremonies and get-togethers with their European and American colleagues. The past honourees have included: actors Val Kilmer, Stanley Tucci, Gerard Butler, Jean-Claude Van Damme, F. Murray Abraham, Stefania Sandrelli; directors Nancy Meyers, Shekhar Kapur, Julie Taymor, Peter Greenaway. And also Academy Award composers Elliot Goldenthal and John Debney plus tenor Andrea Bocelli and The Blues Brothers Band www.ischiaglobal.com.


At this point already are committed to be in Ischia: Academy Award winner director Norman Jewison; Academy Award nominees directors Taylor Hackford (the one of the movie RAY), Michael Radford, Andrei Konchalovsky, Lina Wertmuller. And also directors Rob Cohen, Hiner Saleem, Kristoph Zanussi; Actors: Gerard Butler, Colin Firth, Blenda Blethyn, Mickey Rourke, Armand Assante. The 2005 Academy Award winners : Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo (set decorators), Sandy Powell (costumes), Jorge Dexler (best song), Jan Kaczmarek (best soundtrack) and many more.
